Privacy Policy

Departure Day is a service of Twin Ledger, Inc. This policy covers how we collect, use, and protect information within the Departure Day product.

What we collect

We collect the information you provide when creating an account and using the app: your name, email address, trip details, itinerary segments, and any documents you upload. If you connect a financial account via Plaid, we receive transaction data through that integration to support expense tracking within your trips.

How we use it

We use your information to operate the product: storing your trips, sharing itineraries with travelers you invite, and providing the features you use. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose outside of operating Departure Day on your behalf.

AI features

Departure Day uses AI for document classification and travel expense estimation. These features run on private, isolated instances of Claude (Anthropic). Your data is not used to train AI models and is not shared with Anthropic beyond the scope of individual API calls made on your behalf.

Plaid integration

Connecting a financial account through Plaid is entirely optional. If you choose to connect one, transaction data is used only for trip expense tracking within your account. We do not share financial data with any third party.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data with third-party service providers only to the extent necessary to operate the product (for example, cloud infrastructure and the Plaid integration). Those providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

If you invite a travel advisor to a trip or request a quote from an advisor through the Service, your name and contact information may be shared with that advisor to facilitate the relationship. You control which advisors you invite or contact.

Your data

You can request a copy of your data or ask that your account be deleted at any time by contacting us at contact@twinledger.com. Account deletion removes your personal information and trip data from our systems.
