Cruise Intelligence may be quoted

Media organizations, independent writers, creators, researchers, and cruise community accounts are free to quote, link to, or screenshot publicly available information from Departure Day Cruise Intelligence.

Attribution should name Departure Day Cruise Intelligence and, when practical, include a link to the relevant Departure Day page or to the Cruise Intelligence public experience.

This permission is meant to support ordinary reporting, commentary, analysis, and public conversation. It covers visible Cruise Intelligence pages and public facing context, including sailing pages, ship and port pages, selected ship movement observations, dashboard figures, itinerary change notes, and public search results.

Screenshots and excerpts

Screenshots, short excerpts, tables, rankings, ship movement notes, itinerary references, and other public Cruise Intelligence observations may be used in reporting, commentary, newsletters, social posts, videos, and similar media formats with attribution.

Please do not imply that Departure Day has endorsed a story, account, publication, cruise line, travel agency, or commercial offer unless we have agreed to that use in writing.

No scraping or bulk downloading

Permission to quote, link, or screenshot Cruise Intelligence does not grant permission to scrape, crawl, mirror, bulk download, harvest, or otherwise systematically extract Departure Day data. Automated collection of ship, sailing, port, line, pricing, schedule, dashboard, map, search, or itinerary change data is prohibited without prior written authorization from Departure Day.

This includes using bots, scripts, browser automation, API polling, cached page harvesting, screenshots processed into structured data, or any similar method to access, copy, monitor, or compile a substantial part of the Cruise Intelligence dataset outside Departure Day.

Cruise Intelligence is built for human research and public reference, not for copying our data into competing products, lead generation systems, commercial datasets, advertising tools, training sets, resale feeds, or private databases. We reserve all rights not expressly granted on this page. If you need a licensing arrangement, contact us before collecting the data.

Much of the cruise intelligence we display is based on licensed data feeds provided by cruise lines and upstream data counterparties. Unauthorized scraping, harvesting, or bulk extraction may violate Departure Day rights and may also violate the rights of those licensors, counterparties, cruise lines, or other affected rights holders. Departure Day and those parties reserve the right to pursue any available legal or equitable remedies for unauthorized access, extraction, use, or redistribution.

Public context and protected data

Departure Day distinguishes between public Cruise Intelligence context and protected operational or internal data. Public pages may summarize schedules, ship movements, port calls, observed positions, itinerary changes, and derived cruise context. Internal source identifiers, provider metadata, operations submissions that are not public, confidential fare history, and other protected records are not available for republication or extraction.

Some Cruise Intelligence features are experimental and some data may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Before making travel decisions, verify schedules, port calls, vessel positions, and operational status with the cruise line, port, or travel provider.

Social media bots

Follow Departure Day Cruise Intelligence on X: @ddcruiseintel, @ddships, and @ddnewsailings.

Departure Day may operate social media bots that post selected ship movements, port calls, itinerary observations, public sailing context, and other Cruise Intelligence signals.

These posts are intended to point people back to public Cruise Intelligence context. They are not official cruise line statements, safety notices, or passenger communications.

Selection for social posting may be based on public relevance, unusual movement, itinerary context, port activity, testing needs, or editorial judgment. The absence of a post does not mean that nothing changed, and the presence of a post does not mean a cruise line has confirmed or endorsed the observation.

Cruise line requests

Departure Day will honor any request from a verified cruise line representative to have that cruise line included in, or excluded from, Departure Day social media bot posting.

A representative may contact us at media@departureday.app from an official cruise line email address. We may ask for additional verification when needed before changing social media bot inclusion settings.

Inclusion or exclusion from social media bot posting does not change how Cruise Intelligence treats public data in the product itself. It only controls whether social accounts operated by Departure Day are expected to post selected automated or partly automated updates about that cruise line.

Corrections

Cruise schedules and observed ship movements can change. If a cruise line, port, media organization, or reader believes public Cruise Intelligence information needs correction, please contact us with the relevant ship, sailing, date, and supporting context.

Corrections help improve the public record. They do not require a media outlet or creator to remove attributed historical coverage unless the coverage itself is inaccurate or misleading.

Media inquiries, interview requests, requests for comment, quote verification questions, podcast invitations, broadcast requests, and questions about using Departure Day Cruise Intelligence in reporting should be sent to media@departureday.app.

Please include your name, publication or organization, deadline, the subject of the request, and any relevant links or screenshots. Messages sent to other Departure Day or Twin Ledger addresses may be forwarded to the media inbox for handling.
